Job Description

The Operation Specialist is responsible for the operational activities of the Barista Project. These are the Pret Express machines installed in a variety of locations across the UK. They are an un-manned, hassle-free, 24/7 self serve solution which brings consumers the same organic coffee and tea as Pret A Manger stores serve, at the touch of the button.

Acting as a single point of contact for our service distribution network. You will build robust processes to ensure efficient day-to-day operations – empowering the business to successfully deliver Pret Express placements and ensure the continued success by providing relevant functions with insights gathered from the data the stations provide.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and own operational relationships with service distributors 
  • Manage Stakeholders across the business, providing insights from data acquisition that can empower the business to improve ways of working, efficiencies and inform decisions. 
  • Manages claims/concerns from stakeholders that highlight systemic issues and build ways of working and processes to increase operational efficiency. 
  • Maintain clear and direct communications with stakeholders, enabling them to take any preventative or corrective action that will improve the throughput of Barista Stations. 
  • Co-own processes with finance on Cup-fee and Ingredient invoicing. 
  • Collate Quality issues across machines and furniture into an Issue database to assist in feedback to central and suppliers, review periodically and report on trends/chronic issues. 
  • Develop Dashboards to display data for weekly review to Functional teams and the management team monthly. 
  • Identify trends in service cases, machine events, and cup throughput based on machine/area/location type etc. 
  • Ensures business Delivers on Yearly barista station roll out targets. 
  • Drives knowledge management, defines systems and principles for operational documentation and information. 
  • Works closely with stakeholders to ensure delivery and installations are successful by redefining and owning the Barista Station master tracker and taking ownership of machines and furniture delivery’s suppliers 

Qualifications

  • Operations experience 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Good systems knowledge of SAP and Salesforce. 
  • Data analysis and reporting skills. 
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and other MS office products. 
  • Understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain. 
  • Python or Power BI experience is a real bonus
  • Process automation techniques
